ALMA YOGA WORKSHOP
WORKSHOP · IN PARTNERSHIP WITH KIESER MOSMAN
Most of us will have a sore back at some point. Far fewer of us know what's actually going on in there, or what to do about it.
This workshop is a chance to find out. Kieser physiotherapist James and Alma director Alex will walk you through how your back works, why it complains, and the small things that make the biggest difference.
Then we put it into practice on the mat.
What we'll cover
Your back, explained simply — the spine, discs, muscles and joints, and why pain is so common.
The myths worth letting go of. Is bending bad for you? Should you rest when it hurts? Do you really need a strong core?
Four exercises that matter — mobility, control, strength and everyday function. Simple movements you can take home and keep doing.
A guided yoga practice built around the same principles, so the ideas land in your body rather than just your notes.
Who it's for
Anyone with an occasional sore back. Anyone who sits a lot, lifts a lot, or worries about doing either wrong. Anyone who wants their practice to feel stronger and more assured.
All experience levels welcome. No yoga background needed.
What to bring
Yourself and comfortable clothes. Mats and props are here.
The fine print
This is an educational workshop. It isn't a diagnosis or a treatment plan for an individual condition — if your back needs specific attention, James and the Kieser team can help you separately.
