This thoughtfully curated journey combines fascinating cultures and beautiful landscapes in a food lovers paradise! Over 15 immersive days, we take you into the heart of India — its people, traditions, history, and philosophy. Practise yoga in stunning, soul-inspiring locations and experience the country from the inside out.

JANUARY 2027 DAILY ITINERARY
Day 1. Wed 13: Arrive BENGALURU (previously known as Bengalore) - Namaste and a warm welcome to India! We meet you at the airport and settle you into our hotel. 1 night
Day 2. Thur 14: MYSURU (previously known as Mysore) - after breakfast we’ll have our welcome circle. Then we head to Mysuru, one of South India’s most culturally rich cities, known for its royal heritage and once the seat of a powerful kingdom. It’s famous for grand palaces, vibrant markets and the birthplace of ashtanga yoga. If we’re lucky we’ll see Mysuru Palace illuminated by 98,000 light bulbs… a spectacular sight that will stay with you forever. 2 nights
Day 3. Fri 15: MYSURU - we start today with a tour of Mysuru Palace. Our guide will bring the craftsmanship and architectural brilliance of this beautiful palace to life. Free time after lunch to explore or rest.
Day 4. Sat 16: MYSURU to ISHA YOGA ASHRAM, COIMBATORE - today we drive to the state of Tamil Nadu, the scenery is beautiful, national parks, mountains and waterfalls. We stay at the Isha Yoga Foundation ashram, founded by Sadhguru for three nights. 3 nights
Day 5. Sun 17: ISHA YOGA ASHRAM - the Isha Foundation is a non-profit organization that strives to promote the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of all beings through various yogic practices and social and environmental initiatives. It’s also the home of an impressive 34-metre-tall statue of the Hindu deity Shiva. Featured in the Guinness Book of World Records, this architectural masterpiece stands as a symbol of self-transformation and inner peace.
Day 6. Mon 18: ISHA YOGA ASHRAM - a whole day to slow down, relax and explore all the ashram has to offer.
Day 7. Tues 19 : ISHA YOGA ASHRAM to MADURAI - we have a scenic drive to Madurai; we’ll meet our expert guide for a street food tour and a look at the night markets. 2 nights
Day 8. Wed 20: MADURAI - the heartbeat of Madurai is the spectacular Meenakshi Temple, the temple complex spans 15 acres. One the most architecturally brilliant temples in South India.
Day 9. Thur 21: MADURAI to CHETTINAD - a timeless hidden gem where elegance, history, and artistry come beautifully together. We’ll wander through magnificent heritage mansions and admire intricate craftsmanship at every turn. At sunset we’ll visit the striking, 17th century hilltop fort of THIRUMAYAM. Quiet and atmospheric, with massive stone walls, hidden passages and ancient rock-cut temples, the fort is a fascinating blend of history and architecture with sweeping views of the surrounding countryside. 2 nights
Day 10. Fri 22: CHETTINAD – another day to savour the delights of this historic town.
Day 11. Sat 23: CHETTINAD to TIRUVANNAMALI and TRICHY TEMPLES - only 1.5 hours away is one of the largest and most sacred temple complexes in India. Set on an island between two rivers, surrounded by towering gateways, vast courtyards, and centuries of devotion, Trichy is serene yet grand, a living temple city shaped by faith, history, and timeless rituals. 1 night
Day 12. Sun 24: TIRUVANNAMALI to DUNE ECO VILLAGE and AUROVILLE – it’s only a couple of hours drive to the Bay of Bengal! Our accommodation at DUNE ECO VILLAGE is a beachside Ayurvedic centre offering traditional massage treatments, wellness therapies, meditation, yoga, badminton, tennis, volleyball and a swimming pool - a place to rejuvenate and relax. 3 nights
Day 13. Mon 25: AUROVILLE - an international community dedicated to peace and sustainability. Anyone with idealistic leanings will find Auroville compelling, thousands from across the globe, ignore creed, colour and nationality to work together to build a universal, non-religious township. One can volunteer, intern or study in Auroville, residents have their own currency, receive free healthcare and electricity.
Day 14. Tues 26: AUROVILLE and PONDICHERRY - today we get to concentrate in silence in the Inner Chamber, inside the Golden Sphere. Be mindful that the Matrimandir (Mother’s Temple), is not a tourist site – it is for silent concentration and should be visited in a quiet mental and physical state. In the afternoon and evening, we’ll enjoy the pretty, beachside, French colony of Pondicherry, with its great cafes and shops.
Day 15. Wed 27: Fly home from CHENNAI (previously known as Madras) this evening - our last day! After breakfast we’ll have our closing ceremony and take you to the airport. Say farewell to India as you return to your corner of the world, heart full, feeling richer with a new perspective on life.
Day 16. Thur 28: Arrive home

For this tour to take place - a minimum of 13 guests must register, payments are held until we have 13 guests.
If, by 1 October 2026, 13 guests have not registered, your payments can be transferred to another tour or refunded.
Tour cost is based on sharing a twin/double room. If you wish to share but don’t have a roommate, we'll do our best to match you with a suitable person. We cannot guarantee this. There is an extra cost of $1,899 for your own room for the whole trip.
