Our story

Discover the essence of our studio

Founded by Alex Cogley and Martina Carosi, Alma is a haven to step out of busy city life and back into your body, your breath, and a calmer mind. We welcome everyone — beginners right through to the most experienced yogis.

"Alma" is a blend of our founders' names — Alex and Martina — and an ancient word for soul.

Twelve teachers, each with their own voice and style, share one studio and one intention: no watered-down, corporate version of yoga — just quality instruction from people who actually love what they do.

Flag for Gavin: no founder portrait exists in the current photo library, so I've used initials instead of a fabricated photo. Swap in a real photo of Alex & Martina here — or send me one and I'll drop it straight in.
